How long have you worked at Silvermaple? 5.5 years
What's your job entail? Being the Store Manager at Silvermaple Brighton involves sales & customer service, store presentation, display merchandising, stock control, staff motivation and generally making a great environment for staff and customers.
What's your typical day like? Chaotic, buzzing and vibrant!
What’s your favourite memory at Silvermaple? When I first started, I had no idea about Mela Purdie and I merchandised the little stock I had with other brands ... soon after, we had a Mela Purdie visitor and Leasa popped her hand on my shoulder and said “Ooooh, Liz has just started and doesn’t quite understand Mela Purdie yet but she'll get it...” (in a very loving manner of course). From that day on, I've understood Mela Purdie.
What’s a common question you get asked by customers? Am I going to get booked out there?
What do you like most about your job? Love the clothes, love our customers, love my colleagues, love the variety, love that I'm never bored, love that I feel a sense of achievement and love working for Leasa!
Describe your workwear style? Classic or comfortable depending on the day (I do like to have a lot of choice) but I always try to dress with style.
What’s your best packing tip? Simple ... Mela Purdie and Verge Acrobats. Both brands are wash, hang and wear and they don't take up suitcase space. It's win-win!
What do you love to do when you aren’t working? Gardening, cooking, reading, cycling, running and spending time with my family & friends.
What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know? I play lots of candy crush ... actually I’m addicted.
What are you doing today apart from Candy Crush? Making scones, reading, gardening, bike riding and then I'll watch a movie.
If you could be in lockdown with anyone in the world, who would it be? My family, of course!
